Project manager CV example: bullets, skills and summary
A project manager CV (or project manager resume) must show the projects you delivered, their size and whether they landed on time and on budget. Hiring managers want scope — budget, team, stakeholders — the methodology you used and what changed for the business when the project finished.
Example achievement bullet points
Numbers are illustrative – use your own. Each bullet: action verb + scope + result.
- Delivered a £1.2m CRM migration for 400 users on time and 4% under budget, coordinating 3 vendors and 12 internal staff.
- Managed a portfolio of 6 concurrent IT projects, reporting status and risks monthly to the steering committee.
- Introduced Agile ceremonies and a shared Jira board for a 9-person team, increasing on-time sprint delivery over two quarters.
- Recovered a delayed warehouse-system rollout by re-planning scope with stakeholders, going live 3 weeks after the revised plan rather than 3 months late.
- Negotiated a change request process that cut unplanned scope additions and kept the project within its contingency budget.
- Ran user acceptance testing with 25 end users across 4 sites, closing 140 defects before launch.
- Created a project-reporting template later adopted across the PMO.

Tips for this CV
Give each project a size
Budget, duration, team size, number of users or sites. "Delivered a £1.2m migration for 400 users" is instantly comparable; "managed projects" is not.
Show outcomes, not just delivery
Besides on time and on budget, say what the business got: cost saved, process sped up, users onboarded.
List certifications clearly
PMP, PRINCE2, PSM, APM or Agile certificates belong in a certificates line. Many PM job ads filter on them.

FAQ
How long should a project manager CV be?
Two pages is normal for experienced PMs. Focus the detail on the 3–4 most relevant projects and summarise older ones.
Should I list every project I managed?
No. Choose the projects closest to the target job in size and type. One strong, quantified project bullet beats five vague ones.
Do I need a PMP or PRINCE2 certificate?
Not always, but many employers ask for one. If you have it, show it near the top; if you are studying for it, list it with an expected date.
Can RezuYes highlight the right projects for a job?
Yes. Paste the job ad and your CV: the AI moves your most relevant projects up and sets the strongest proof for the key requirements in bold — using only facts you gave it.
